We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. The church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention. We voluntarily band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind.
We believe in the Sanctity of the Marriage Relationship, in that the institution of marriage was designed by God to unite one man and one woman in life-long commitment. (Genesis 2:23-24; Matthew 19:4-6) We also believe that sexual intimacy is a gift from God that is to be expressed only between a man and a woman within the bonds of such a marriage (Genesis 1:28; I Corinthians 7:1-3; Hebrews 13:4). Therefore, we believe that any other form of sexual expression is outside of God’s will and plan, and a sin against God (Romans 1:24-29; I Corinthians 6:12-20). Due to the importance of marriage in the biblical witness, this church adheres to this concept of biblical marriage.
We believe in the Sanctity of Human Life. Biblical revelation clearly and consistently affirms that human life is formed by God in His image and is therefore worthy of honor and dignity (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 9:6); and God alone is the Author of life and He alone numbers our days, from the moment of conception until natural death (Job 14:5-7; Psalm 39:4; Jeremiah 29:11; Psalm 40:5); and we adhere to The Baptist Faith & Message (2000) that affirms ‘·children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord” and calls us to ‘·speak on behalf of the unborn and contend for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death”.
